Okay, for those of you that have studied or are studying Japanese - HELP! I am conjugating adjectives for a homework assignment. My question is related to the word for "good" or "ii" Is this adjective considered a "i" conjugation or a "na" conjugation? Or rather, should I conjugate it in the present negative as "ii jya arimasen" or "ikuarimasen"? And what about "takai" (expensive)? Would it be "takai jya arimasen" or "takakuarimasen"? Grr! So confused by these two! HELP! EDIT: Okay, I have takai figured out, but ii...*sigh* This is what I have: dictionary form - ii present affirmative - ii desu present negative - ii arimasen (could be yokuarimasen?) past affirmative - iikattadesu (could be yokattadesu?) past negative - iikuarimasendeshita (could be yokuarimasendeshita?) I am inclined to say that yoku... is correct (according to So, could someone check the above and tell me what is correct? Thanks to |

I have to get this research paper done, so no internet for me for the next couple days. I have a working first draft though and will look at a second draft tomorrow. Then it is the hard task of choosing the images and scanning them in. I think I am beyond brain-fried at the moment... and I still have Japanese homework to get finished before Monday. Then there's that Philosophy paper...I am so going to love having the time off between semesters. As for comments...I will catch up with all of you in a couple days. *hugs* Have a good weekend! |

Change of plans for the holiday. Was supposed to work Friday night. Now working Thursday and Friday nights. Oh well, more money for us that we desperately need. And sometime this weekend I have to find time to work on a research paper for Archaeology, practice Japanese adjectives and vocabulary, and get that 1000-2000 word defense piece done for Philosophy. Oh and still make turkey and have fun. That's it! Tonight's gonna be a fun night and that's all there is to it. Now to go out in the cold, pick up mail, cat food and fill the tank with gasoline, pick up Writer and chow - then I am in for the night! |

Just registered for classes for next term. Have a class tonight. Have a paper due in two weeks that hasn't really been put together - more like something thrown together, then aside, then together again. Have a final exam on Thursday that I haven't studied for yet. Fortunately it isn't cumulative. Have a chapter test in Japanese tomorrow and have just a few hours to study. Cue screaming. |
